We are celebrating the success of WorldSkills Lyon 2024, the world’s largest vocation skills competition, where we were a gold sponsor helping shine a spotlight on the importance of skilled trades and providing hands-on experience for the next generation of painters. At the event, 1,500 talented young professionals from nearly 70 countries showcased their expertise across more than 60 skills categories. As part of our ongoing commitment to promoting vocational training, we provided more than 290 gallons of our SEIGNEURIE® paints by PPG for the Painting and Decorating category, including Seigneurie Evolutex Bas Carbone paint, which uses bio-based raw materials that reduce carbon emissions, reflecting our strong commitment to sustainability. “We are thrilled to congratulate this year’s winners in the Painting and Decorating category: Xiaofei Zhang from China, who secured the gold medal; Lena Prinz from Austria, who won silver; and Chun-Chen Lee from Chinese Taipei, who took bronze,” said Malesia Dunn, our executive director, PPG Foundation and corporate global social responsibility. “Their hard work and mastery of their craft reflect the power of vocational training and dedication.” We also engaged visitors at the event with our interactive “Let’s Paint Your Future” booth highlighting focus areas such as innovation, sustainability, skills development and community engagement. #PPGproud #ProtectandBeautify
