Mid-Atlantic Auto Care Alliance (MAACA) Appoints New Board Leadership

The Mid-Atlantic Auto Care Alliance (MAACA) has announced a new slate of board members, bringing together decades of expertise from across the automotive industry. These seasoned professionals will help steer the organization forward with their wealth of experience and leadership.

Newly Appointed Board Members

  • Dave Wagner – President
    Wagner, the owner of Amp’d Automotive Mobile Programming and Diagnostics, began his career at age 12 in his uncle’s shop and became a professional technician in 1996. A long-time Super Saturday planning committeemember since 2017, Wagner has been with MAACA since its inception.

  • Joe Tranchitella – Vice President
    The owner of Joe & Sons’ Auto Repair in Perkasie, PA, Tranchitella’s automotive roots date back to 1969 at J&F Texaco in Philadelphia. He is a founding member of MAACA’s Super Saturday event and previously served as the organization’s treasurer.

  • Jon McKenney – Treasurer
    As a shop owner and lead technician at JBM Automotive in Wrightstown, PA, McKenney has been in the industry since 1980. A Super Saturday planning committee member, he has been involved with MAACA since its formation.

  • Steve Schaeber – Secretary
    Schaeber, technical editor and service training manager at MACS (Mobile Air Climate Systems Association), has been in the automotive industry since 1989. He previously served as vice chairman of the SAE Interior Climate Control Service Committee.

  • Jon Tangye – Mechanical Division Director
    Owner of Epoch Automotive in Doylestown, PA, Tangye is a newcomer to MAACA but a long-time Super Saturday attendee. He has served on the advisory board of Philadelphia Community College’s automotive program and contributed to the Super Saturday planning committee.

  • Dave Preston – Legislative Director
    Preston, owner of Preston’s Garage & Performance in Hulmeville, PA, since 1974, has held leadership roles in the Bucks County Inspection Association and the Philadelphia Gasoline Retailers Association. He also advises the Bucks County Technical School.

  • Tom Gebbie – Past President
    Currently involved in diagnostics sales development at Snap-on Diagnostics, Gebbie has a background as a shop owner and member of PennDOT’s Inspection Advisory Board.

Board Departure

After seven years of dedicated service, Ross Colket is stepping down from the board. The owner of Colket Automotive Technical Services in Hatfield (Lansdale), PA, Colket served as MAACA president from 2017 to 2023.

With this experienced team at the helm, MAACA is poised to continue its mission of supporting automotive professionals throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.
